Disney Cinderella OOAK by lulemee Disney Cinderella OOAK by lulemee

Walt Disney´s Cinderella, how she appeared in her first movie in 1950.

As base doll I used the Midnight Romance Cinderella doll by Mattel. Her face is completely repainted, her hair is dyed and restyled. She is wearing the Signature Collection Cinderella gown by Mattel, the most beautiful Cinderella gown ever made.

So this is love ...hmm hmm hmm hmmmmm...

I have a cinderella doll which wearing this dress. I forgot the collection name of this doll, but I do love this dress design among all the cinderella doll by Mattel or disney. Because this design make her gown looks much more puffer just like in the movie. I prefer this design then the recent cinderella doll gown design by disney store. Haiz.....

I wonder How u dye the hair? What did u used for hair dye? I search many sites but it seems there's no perfect dye to dye a doll's hair.

I'm planning to learn and try to reroot a doll's hair recently, hopefully I can do it coz I have no any experience at all. I really admire your repaint technique and artistic sense, your repaint artworks really amazed me. (Although the fee required not quite cheap for me, but I do think they worth the price and your hard work) I love this cinderella hair colour though, and this face expression. why Disney don't give her this hair colour? :(I wonder  why

The hair is dyed with acrylic paint, but this isn´t a perfect dye as well....

She looks lovely. I like how you turned her to her original strawberry blonde shade. I still wish you also did re-roots. The hair loses it's shine in the dyeing process. It'd make your OOAK dolls even prettier than they already are. I understand if you don't want to, though. It is a long and tedious process.

Thank you so much! Yes, dyeing makes them less shiny, but on the other hand, they appear more realistic afterwards. But I just started with rerooting... and I hate it *lol*

Good luck with that. Usually, by the time you find a nice and no-nonsense procedure to do something you hate and make a habit out of it, you don't hate it as much, maybe even end up enjoying it. In my case it was drawing/painting hands, noses and hair. I guess I don't hate it anymore. Now I have to try and do the same with perspective because I HAAAAAATE IT, but it's so necessary if you're serious about Illustration.
